There are many racing games for Windows users, but here we are taking a look at best of the free racing games available in Windows Store.
Forza Motorsport 6 Apex
The best real racing simulation game ever built for Windows 10 with lots of cars and tracks and it is completely free. If you are a racing enthusiast and like real life extreme racing experience and immersive sound and graphics, then go for none other than Forza Motorsport 6 Apex.
However, before you go ahead downloading the game, make sure your PC is built to run more demanding games and has a minimum configuration of Core i3 Processor, 8 Gigabytes of RAM and a discreet / integrated graphics card with a minimum of 2GB of VRAM.
Forza Motorsport 7 Demo
Forza Motorsport 7 is the new addition to Microsoft’s motorsport gaming series and its demo version is available for free on Windows Store. As its previous version the game comes with stunning graphics up to 4K resolution.
The demo version of the game offers the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, the Mercedes-Benz Tankpool truck and the built-for-racing Nissan NISMO GT-R LM. And the tracks include a new course in Dubai, the Mugello circuit in Italy, and the famous Nürburgring Grand Prix.

Asphalt 8 Airborne
One of my favorite games, Asphalt 8 Airborne launched back in 2013 is still one of the best racing games available in Windows Store. The game comes with over 200 + cars and has different game mode from multiplayer to limited time events as well as Research And Development and championship modes where you participate in the game and complete certain objectives to finally win the car. There are also career and mastery mode that help you gain more credits and tokens and boost your driving skill in different tracks.
When it comes to visuals, the game has decent graphics for a game around 3GB of size and cars look stunningly real and anyone who likes a little stunts and actions rather than usual sports racing must love the game. The game should work smoothly on almost any pc with decent specs and no discreet graphics card needed.
Forza Horizon 3 Demo
The simulation game built for Windows and Xbox that has got several awards, the Forza Horizon 3 is still the best in line of racing games, it is more than a racing game. It is a celebration of both sports cars and beautiful Australian outback. The game comes with over 350 machines, all in stunning ForzaVista detail and it’s the game against which other open world racing games are currently judged. Race through beautiful Australian terrain in different mode from Showcase events to Multiplayer mode and the game lets you customize your cars and select your own driver character.
Released back in 2016 though, the game has got several improvements and updates.
Don’t feel being late If you haven’t yet got on board, it is still a new experience and the game keeps getting better and better over the time and you would not ever regret playing the game.
The game should only run on PCs with above-average specs including discreet graphics card and a minimum of core i5 processor.
Asphalt 8 StreetStorm
This is yet another racing game from the same company that released Asphalt 8 Airborne, but here players are competing in a drag racing mode. There are both multiplayer and career mode and players can buy or sell cars and even bet on cars. Bets are available in single player and multiplayer PvP battles.
Cars range from classic muscle cars to new turbo supercars and tear up the roads across world’s top cities. Gameloft has also managed to include some weather simulation, so beware of different weather conditions that has real effect on your cars performance.
Just like Asphalt 8 Airborne, the game should run smoothly on any PC with decent specs and you should be able to experience all the great visual effects the game has to offer.
As the name suggests, it is hell of extremity and if you like some off-road adventure, this is the right game you should download and start playing. The game offers both multiplayer and career mode just like its bigger bro Asphalt 8 Airborne and the main differences between the two are its locations and the fact that Xtreme offers more choices when it comes to vehicles, it includes trucks, rally SUVs and a few buggy racers.
All other aspects of the Xtreme is almost similar to Asphalt 8 Airborne, except for a multiplayer league battle where you get great rewards like tokens and credits as well as blueprints of cars in Airborne. However, as a pretty new release, there are not much people who participate in multiplayer and it may take a while to get some players online and start a race unlike Asphalt 8 Airborne which has great user base. The free to play game is available in Windows Store and it is about 2GB in size.
