Asus ROG Phone Unveiled at Computext 2018, everything you want to know

Asus ROG Phone:, everything you want to know

For gaming, most people may go for high-end laptop or desktop, but it seems like things are going to change soon at least for those who want to play their games on-the-go and Asus ROG (Republic of Gamers) Phone may be your best bet. Asus unveiled its ROG Phone at Computex 2018 and it comes with beastly internals and some cool external features dedicated for gaming.

As more demanding games like Fortnite are making its way to Android, Asus’ entry into gaming phone arena is at the right time and will rival Razer’s gaming phone. The device comes with some cool features and accessories like detachable AeroActive Cooler fan accessory, Mobile Desktop Dock, Gamevice controller, the WiGig dock and TwinView Dock.

TwinView Dock  turns the ROG Phone into a dual-screen console, not entirely unlike the Nintendo DS while Mobile Desktop Dock lets you connect to an external monitor and play with a mouse and keyboard. And the WiGig dock allows you to wirelessly connect to an external display. Oh yea Who would want to buy a gaming computer anymore?

Despite the built-in GameCool system with “highly efficient 3D vapor-chamber cooling,” some more demanding games may cause overheating and the detachable AeroActive Cooler fan  could help with it.

Last but not least, the Gamevice controller is for gaming on-the-go, which adds a bunch of physical buttons and turn your phone into a Nintendo Switch.

When it comes specs, the phone has 6-inch AMOLED display that boasts a 90Hz refresh rate and comes with Snapdragon 845 overclocked to 2.96GHz and 8GB of RAM, that is whole lot of power inside and things should be smoother, you should never run out of your resources. Other notable features are a 4,000mAh battery, a side-mounted USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a pair of air triggers that can be used for any on-screen action.

ASUS ROG Phone is definitely a game changer and many new phones should be coming with such features in the near future. While its price is still a mystery, the phone can’t be cheaper and it will be released in Q3 2018.
